A hand-woven anjat basket from central Kalimantan, in Indonesian Borneo, made from natural rattan. The anjat is a traditional Dayak carrying basket built to be slung over the shoulder and carry light loads through the forest and between villages.
The open weave keeps it light and lets it breathe, it's also quite pliable and can expand.
This tall, narrow size is made for a rolled yoga mat, but just as easily holds a rolled blanket, a bundle of umbrellas, a tripod, or some archery gear, and tucked away on a hook.
