Anjat Basket - Hand-Woven Rattan, Borneo (Large)
A hand-woven anjat basket from central Kalimantan, in Indonesian Borneo, made from natural rattan. The anjat is a traditional Dayak carrying basket built to be slung over the shoulder and carry light loads through the forest and between villages.
The open weave keeps it light and lets it breathe, it's also pliable and can expand.
This large size takes a full farmers market haul, a bundle of throws, or can gather up kids' toys or other items and go up on a hook.
