A hand-woven anjat basket from central Kalimantan, in Indonesian Borneo, made from natural rattan. The anjat is a lightweight traditional carrying basket with an open weave designed as a lightweight backpack or shoulder sling to carry light loads through the forest or village.
This larger-than-usual size is perfect for a full farmers market haul, a picnic blanket or two, or a quick sweep of the floor when the kids' toys need somewhere to land.
